Once you pass the tiny bridge, there’ll be asked for donations. These are IDR 10,000 (0.70 USD) each donation. That is a fair number if you consider that individuals are walking and sometimes destroying their fields.

Most rice areas are closed with fences if you prefer to pass those for a photo, a payment of 50000 IDR is going to be asked. Yes, these farmers make good money. We do think it’s totally worth it.

Because of the recognition of Tegalalang, a lot of attractions was opening in 2018. The world-renowned Bali swings are now also situated all around the valley. A 3-5 minutes swing costs you between IDR 100,000-150,000 (USD 8).
